Exactly three years ago the entire sports fraternity was thrown into a state of mourning following the death of iconic broadcaster, Christopher Opoku, on 10th May 2017.

Christopher Opoku died at the age of 42 on a Wednesday in the United Kingdom.

The ace broadcaster met his untimely death after battling cancer and had travelled to the United Kingdom to cure the disease.

The late sports journalist was buried on Saturday, July 15 after his funeral rites were held at the poolside of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Big man, big voice, big talent, big heart – whichever of these adjectives you prefer to describe the late Ghanaian journalist Christopher Opoku with, it suits him just fine.

Born in 1974, Opoku had been around some by his eighth birthday, having lived in at least two continents and three countries – Scotland where he was born; Ghana and Nigeria where his family re-located – and studying at university-operated primary schools in the cities of Kumasi and Ibadan.

In 1988, a 14-year-old Opoku returned to his native Ghana, continuing his secondary education at St. Hubert’s Seminary and Kumasi High School, both in Ashanti, and successfully gained admission at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), but only on the second time of asking.

After a year spent studying for a diploma in Data Processing, he switched to seek and complete a degree programme in Computer Science, bringing to a climax a somewhat convoluted educational circuit.

Opoku’s early years had not passed without incident, however. A year after his family’s return to Ghana (from Nigeria), his mom, Madam Dora Opoku, passed away tragically.

While Opoku was not so good at the sporting disciplines while in school – the most he did was unsuccessfully try his hands at goalkeeping – his passion for them could hardly be faulted, as he indulged them in what ways he could.

Chris started out on radio, did TV, and moved into print. He believe that is what makes him a complete journalist and, thankfully he did a fair job at all three.

For one whose journalistic instincts had been honed albeit unwittingly while yet so young, Opoku’s choice of study at tertiary level was quite unusual. On face value, the fields of Computer Science and soccer could not have been more distant from each other, yet Opoku, ever so observant.

Opoku rose to become one of Ghana’s most recognizable media faces and voices. Listen to him run commentary, watch him engage in punditry on TV, or read any of his write-ups, and it is almost impossible to determine which art he handles most proficiently.

As a journalist, Opoku hosted major international tournaments, including the African Youth Championships hosted (and won) by Ghana in 1999, the Nations Cup organized a year later, and that of 2008.

Chris’ dream was to cover the Fifa World Cup, missing the 2006 and 2010 editions due to his absence from the country and his wife’s scheduled delivery respectively.

Pastor Sleeps With A 17 Year-Old Girl

A 17 year old girl (whose name was withheld) has spoken out about how the community pastor of the Amagba branch of the Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel, pastor Kingsley Emeka Mokwunye introduced her to alcohol and took advantage of the situation by having sex with her.

She broke out in tears while she told the reporters about how the affair began in September last year, shortly after she finished her secondary education.

The teenager told reporters that the pastor also took advantage of her in her own father’s house.

She said, the reason why she opened up was because she could no longer focus on her studies and also to send the pastor to jail for committing the awful embarrassing acts with her.

She said,”He used to call me to advise me to stay away from boys as they only care about sex, he also told me to live a good life and to always respect my parents”.

2. Watching pornography turns you into a Womanizer. Now when you are a man who likes watching pornography, it turns you into a Womanizer. Since you have watched this bonsam cartoons, you get more knowledge and desires relating to what you watched. Now you’ve gone for a woman and then the woman is not proofing to you or showing what you saw in The Blue movie, what do you think the person will do the person is surely going to take another woman if the other person or woman is also not proving it you continue right? And this makes you a Womanizer. Be careful because a drunkard might meet you one day on the way and ask you in public that why do you like women like that and this will bring embarrassment.

3. It also cause serious health problems to the body. When you are a Porniac you watch porn a lot and this can cause serious health issues to the body to be precise the sex organs and this will cause you to be admitted at the hospital. Also masturbating causes the penis to malfunction and this can even kill you

The novel coronavirus has been a big hit to the world, this is one major threat to humanity, many lives has been lost and millions of people have been infected by the deadly virus(Covid’19) globally and the wait of everybody is that this whole should end sooner than expected.

Ghana should expect the best results in few days from now according to reports from News-3G, it made it clear that there was an increase in the numbers of infected patients of the deadly virus and the numbers of recovered and discharged patients and the good news of it all is that there was no additional deaths been recorded in the latest reports.

The Ghanaians should expect an improvement in the pandemic case facing the country because this should be the first time if not the first time that the country is reporting an updates on the current pandemic issue without a death case being recorded and this is a great news for Ghana so the country should be expecting more successful reports from the health officials about the coronavirus battling the country.

Ghana are having 3,091 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 18 confirmed deaths tolls and 303 recovered and discharged patients of the deadly coronavirus.

As the world is continuing the quest for finding a vaccine for the COVID-19 pandemic, new revelations have emerged with several individuals testifying to have been duped by doctors into believing they were suffering from the virus. 

Many took to the Internet to report their individual cases of how themselves or their loved ones have been reported to have conducted the virus and yet it was not true. The testimonies came from different countries.
